I first started making these after making many many stone Christmas Trees, wait, hear me out!!

I make the trees by cutting them out of a uniformish 1-2cm thick beach washed Devonian Mudstone.


What's left over are edges, these form the 'hill'. They are full of character, marks and such from being beach tumbled.

The base is smooth, flat and stable.


The tiny trees were the sections left when cutting a very ornate Christmas Tree, the triangle shape was then split and shaped into the small trees that you see below. They are rough, some are slightly coloured depending upon what stone I used.


What I've come up with is a small gift from 'recycled' stone, each tree has a small roundish shaped trunk and there is a corresponding hole in the hill where it fits with a very, very gentle twist.


The tree or trees and their base are boxed for posting and sent disassembled for ease of posting for their protection.


They are very easy to put together and when in their forever home I would recommend a tiny drop of superglue.
